President Donald Trump is upset that the NFL decided not to punish players who kneel for the national anthem.

“The NFL has decided that it will not force players to stand for the playing of our National Anthem. Total disrespect for our great country!” Trump said in a tweet Wednesday.

The NFL will not punish players who kneel for the Star Spangled Banner at the start of football games for the time being, The New York Times reported Tuesday evening after a meeting between NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and several team owners.

The league rules say that players need to be on the sidelines for the anthem, and says that they “should” stand for the anthem, making it difficult to impose fines or punish players who kneel.

“I can’t really tell you what people are going to do,” Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, said during a news conference when asked if players would continue to protest by kneeling. “The league has a policy. It hasn’t changed.”
