Matthew McConaughey recently addressed the University of Texas Longhorns basketball team, and it wasn’t the greatest optics for the legendary actor.
It’s no secret that McConaughey is a huge Longhorns fan and has talked with the football team on several occasions. His football speeches make you want to run through a wall. However, a couple of the photos from his basketball speech are far less inspiring.

I’m a huge McConaughey fan. He’s without one of the best actors in the game, but what type of stance is that? That doesn’t get me fired up to play some basketball. It makes me think there’s a guy about to be lectured by his girlfriend about why he didn’t respond to her texts. Bad for the McConaughey brand, if you ask me. Luckily, his brand of being a badass is pretty much set in stone at this point. I doubt a couple bad pictures will offset that.
I also found this video of the “True Detective” star talking about getting “lubricated” in his box for Texas football games. Sounds like a wild party in that suite.
