A man went on a stabbing rampage Saturday in the German city of Munich, wounding four people.

Police arrested a suspect three hours after the attack after a large-scale manhunt. None of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries and police have not yet established a motive.

The arrested suspect fit the witness description of a man around 40 years of age with short, blonde hair. The attacks took place at several locations in the eastern part of the city and police have not ruled out multiple accomplices.

“We have arrested a person who very strongly resembles the description by witnesses, but we cannot confirm that he is the attacker,” police spokesman Marcus da Gloria Martins told reporters.

Police urged residents to stay at home and avoid the area as they searched for the suspect. Several similar attacks have taken place around Europe this year, often with a jihadi motive.
