GOP Senator Bob Corker became CNN and MSNBC’s best friend after he denounced President Donald Trump in an interview Tuesday morning.

After Trump tweeted some harsh criticism of Corker, the sitting senator said he regretted ever supporting Trump in the presidential election and doesn’t think the president is a good role model for children. He declined to say whether or not he trusted Trump with access to the nuclear codes.

The left-leaning anchors and reporters on CNN and MSNBC seemed thrilled by Corker’s comments and couldn’t stop commenting on how “remarkable” and “critical” it was that a member of the majority party was breaking from their president.

MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson played the Corker interview several times on her show, because she “think[s] it is worth replaying” so people can grasp how “remarkable” the interview was.

“I feel like I’ve used the word stunned too much, John,” CNN’s Chris Cillizza fawned.

“It is the only word for it Hallie, it is truly remarkable,” MSNBC’s Kristen Welker said.
