A 45-foot tall statue of a naked woman will not appear on the National Mall due to the National Park Service denying a permit Thursday.

A statue called R-Evolution was supposed to appear during the event called Catharsis on the Mall in Washington, D.C. The healing vigil was set to take place between Nov. 10-12 and organizes requested the statue to stay up until March 7, reported WUSA9.

The National Park Service stated the statue would destroy the turf and soil. The naked statue of a woman was supposed to promote women’s equality and organizers proposed the statue directly face the White House.

“Some proposed structures would be inconsistent with established resource protection guidelines and the public’s use and enjoyment of the National Mall,” the park service stated and that the statue would distract from other “significant historic features.”

The statue was originally brought to the Burning Man gathering in 2015.
