New details have emerged about the shenanigans of the married twentysomething high school teacher who got busted last month for allegedly traumatizing a male teen student with sex at her house in a tiny Michigan town.
The 26-year-old teacher, Allyson Brittany Moran, was in court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing. At the hearing, the male teen testified about the details of the frolics, reports the Lansing State Journal.
The unidentified teen testified that he met Moran last academic year when she was a long-term substitute teacher in one of his classes at Stockbridge High School. (Moran was also the school’s girls soccer coach.)
Their relationship began to flourish because the student often ate lunch in Moran’s classroom, he said.
There was the requisite Snapchat messaging in the early spring. It was innocuous at first. Eventually, the male teen said, he and Moran got down to business and exchanged nude photos.
Then, in April 2016, Moran had the teen over to her house, the teen testified. Moran allegedly advised him to park his vehicle down the street so meddlesome neighbors in the speck of a town where she lived — Dansville, Michigan (pop.: 555) — wouldn’t get suspicious.
Inside the cozy confines of her marital home, Moran showed the teen to the basement and into a “man cave,” the teen testified. There, she removed the robe she had been wearing and kissed him.
Next, the student said, Moran led him upstairs to a bedroom and traumatized him with sex.
“I was so nervous. I was kind of shaky,” the teen testified, according to the Lansing State Journal.
A couple days later, the teen said, he was able to overcome his jitters and return to the 26-year-old teacher’s home for a second bout of sex trauma.
The student explained in court that he later informed his girlfriend about the sex trauma he suffered with the twentysomething teacher. Then, he told family members. Both of those admissions occurred this summer.
A family member contacted police in August.
Moran has admitted to investigators that she and the male teen had sex, according to the Herald & Review, a Decatur, Illinois newspaper.
Police in Decatur arrested Moran in September. She then waived extradition and was transported back to Michigan on Monday, according to a contemporaneous article in the State Journal.
Investigators have not disclosed the age of the student except to say he was younger than 18 when the sex allegedly happened.
Moran is no longer teaching or coaching at the taxpayer-funded high school. Technically, she was employed by a staffing company and not by the school district.
The charges against Moran include three felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a student. There is also a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a student.
Moran faces up to 15 years in jail if she is convicted for having sex with the male teen.
