Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano said Monday that former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is the “first of many dominoes to fall” in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.

“This is the first of many dominoes to fall. Bob Mueller is following the standard M.O. of federal prosecutors,” Napolitano said on “Fox and Friends.” “You’re going to indict people going up the totem poll to see if you can squeeze them. Threaten their ruination by loss of liberty and loss of property to get them to turn evidence against the top guy.”

Napolitano said it’s possible that Manafort is looking to put pressure on lower level associates connected to President Donald Trump, forcing them to turn against the commander-in-chief.

“Sometimes people will make things up so that the squeezing will stop,” Napolitano said. “This is the first of many steps in Bob Mueller’s putting together an enormous puzzle.”
