President Trump stated in a new interview excerpt that he hopes Special Counsel Robert Mueller is “treating everything fairly.”

“Full Measure” host Sharyl Attkisson asked Trump, “Do you think you would ever consider trying to have Mueller removed, or have you pledged to just stay out of that?”

Trump answered, “Well I hope he’s treating everything fairly, and if he is, I’m going to be very happy because, when you talk about innocent, I am truly not involved in any form of collusion with Russia. Believe me, that’s the last thing I can think of to be involved in.”

The investigation into Russian influence on the 2016 election headed by special counsel Robert Mueller resulted in its first indictment this week, with former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos brought up on various charges.
