Police arrested a man who allegedly traveled to Washington, D.C., from Texas with the intent to “kill all white police,” the Secret Service announced Monday.

The Montgomery County Police Department of southern Maryland warned the Secret Service to be on the lookout for Michael Arega of Dallas, Texas, Fox 5 reported.

Arega’s former wife had warned police of her ex-husband’s intent, and shared a Facebook post that said “Now I am going to there White House sure kill all White POLICE [sic],” according to D.C. Metropolitan Police.

“Secret Service personnel at the White House immediately increased their posture of readiness and began searching for Arega,” the Secret Service said in a statement, and arrested Arega near the White House around 4:05 p.m.

Arega was unarmed when police took him into custody. Around the time of his arrest, a witness said a man had been asking passersby if the rifles security forces were holding looked real, The Washington Post reports.

Before his arrest, Arega also posted an article about President Donald Trump’s response to the Sutherland Springs, Texas church shooting with a comment “Kill Him in JESUS NAME!!” according to Heavy.com.
