Kathy Griffin revealed that Rosie O’Donnell convinced her to apologize for the gruesome, bloody photo of a beheaded President Donald Trump.

She has since rescinded that apology.

“I’m not sorry. I take the apology back a thousand percent,” the 57-year-old comedian said in a BBC interview that is scheduled to air Wednesday. (RELATED: Kathy Griffin Is Taking Back Her Apology For Posing With Severed Trump Head)

“And the reason I made the apology is when the image went out, I really thought people would just think, ‘It’s just that Kathy doing another shocking image,'” she added. “I’ve done many throughout my career, and I’ve done many shocking things. When I won my first Emmy I said, ‘Suck it, Jesus, because this award is my God now!'”

“And you know, the conservatives took ads out in the papers,” she continued. “That’s what they like to spend their time and money on. So yes, I knew what I was doing.”

“And the reason I apologized is my good friend Rosie O’Donnell — the preeminent expert of being trolled by this fool, the Accidental President — and so she said, ‘What if Daniel Pearl’s mother saw this?'” she said, referencing the American journalist who was beheaded in Pakistan. “When she said that, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh. I’ve never apologized for a joke. But I get it.'”
