President Donald Trump once again praised the meetings he had with the Chinese president Thursday night, describing them as “very productive.”

Trump has been traveling overseas on a five leg trip to Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines to meet with various leaders. He met with President Xi Jinping Wednesday and Thursday and praised the leader in a series of tweets.

“My meetings with President Xi Jinping were very productive on both trade and the subject of North Korea. He is a highly respected and powerful representative of his people. It was great being with him and Madame Peng Liyuan!” Trump wrote in a tweet.

Trump has repeatedly praised the Chinese president over Twitter during the duration of his time in China.

During their meeting, Trump also declared that he didn’t blame China for its trade practices against the United States, instead blaming “past administrations.” Trump reiterated this idea in another late night tweet, saying the fault lies with the “incompetence” of previous administrations who allowed China to take advantage of America.
