Chinese Farmer Builds House Out Of 30,000 Corn Cobs [VIDEO]

A Chinese farmer built a house out of 30,000 corn cobs, according to a video People’s Daily Online posted to Facebook Monday.

Liu Hongcai, a farmer from Erhe, Shulan county at Jilin Province created a traditional village house complete with a stone mill and fence all made out of 30,000 corn cobs tied together with string. This remarkable achievement has quickly turned into a tourist hot spot, reported the Daily Mail.

With the help of 14 villagers, the corn cobs were all skillfully selected to have a uniform size throughout the house. The construction was completed in a half of a month.

“I built one last year and it became web users’ hot discussion topic,” said Liu. “This year, I want to let the tourists to experience how the northeastern people live, so I had a designer to help me out with the settings.”
