The “Grumors” are getting hotter, and now there are reports that Jon Gruden has reached out to assistant coaches to see if they’d be interested in coming to Tennessee.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported Wednesday that Gruden has reached out to multiple former Volunteers players and coaches to “gauge” their interest in coaching underneath him at Tennessee.
I think it’s safe to say we’re officially in full blown crisis mode over here on “Gruden” watch. People don’t reach out to coaches for no reason at all. Usually they’re interested in a job or very seriously considering an offer.
It’s worth noting that Gruden has also been spending a lot of time in Knoxville recently.
Confirmed through multiple sources that Jon Gruden was in Knoxville last weekend after Butch Jones was fired. If he makes it in for LSU weekend, that would be four trips in five weeks time https://t.co/zGYIjtdpLD

Ladies and gentlemen, it might be time to officially get excited. I think this is becoming more and more likely by the day.
