Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager Robby Mook appeared on CNN Sunday, claiming that it was Russia’s fault that “Hillary wasn’t able to talk about what she was going to do to help people.”

Mook, appearing in a segment about Bill and Hillary Clinton speculating on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, said, “You know, Hillary brought up all of this information that was being trafficked online. That’s why we have to stop what the Russians were able to do, because Hillary wasn’t able to talk about what she was going to do to help people. And that’s what these elections should be about. They should be about what a candidate is going to do to help people.”

He continued, “And here we are today in a situation where the Republicans are going to pass a disastrous tax bill. It’s going to cut taxes for the wealthiest in this country, make working people pay that bill, and we’re not talking about that. We’re taking about how the Russians meddled in our election, so the Russians, I would argue, are still succeeding in their effort, and we need to take action to stop this from continuing.”
