Fisher is a bit of a cult hero among football fans. He was never able to have a ton of success in the NFL, but his lovable personality made him a hit among the fans.
Needless to say, people were overwhelmingly in favor of him returning to the football sidelines.
Jeff Fisher has obvious reasons to be interested in the UCLA job.

Jeff Fisher belongs in college. 7 wins gets you a bowl game. pic.twitter.com/TT0gsnwFlI

UCLA is one place where Jeff Fisher definitely could not go 7-9 https://t.co/9gZUAYQCGt

If UCLA has any remote shot at hiring Chip Kelly and instead hires Jeff Fisher, then there really is no hope for the Bruins. https://t.co/pJRtfAK4KP

Jeff Fisher will become the first coach in college football history to go 7-9 during a 12-game season. https://t.co/p7Rk5dxW5s

The Jeff Fisher to UCLA rumors are fascinating, especially because it’s difficult to go 8-8 in college football.

My message for UCLA: DON’T DO IT! RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM JEFF FISHER. HE WILL FORCE YOUR CONCUSSED QBS TO KEEP PLAYING. https://t.co/kC4JcAPsJf

I’m not sure the college football world is ready for Jeff Fisher, but it’ll be highly entertaining no matter how it goes if he takes the UCLA job.
