Texas A&M owes former football coach Kevin Sumlin a massive pay check after they officially fired him Sunday.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted, “Kevin Sumlin’s contract calls for him to get his $10.4 million buyout in the next 60 DAYS (by January 25).”
Charlie Weis had to wait 6 years to collect his $18.9 million buyout from Notre Dame.

Coach buy out numbers are one of the most entertaining things about college football. Imagine being paid millions of dollars to not do something. Sure, getting fired isn’t fun, but it can’t be that bad when there’s millions to fall back upon.
Arizona State coach Todd Graham is owed over $12 million after getting fired. That’s one of the funniest and worst deals I’ve seen a very long time.

At least Sumlin and Graham will have plenty of money to wipe away any tears that might come from being unemployed.
