Dick Vitale posted a motivational message on Instagram Tuesday morning, and for some reason he felt the need to quote Helen Keller.
“Hey, my motivational tip of the day, it’s a phenomenal quote from the late great Helen Keller. ‘Optimism is what leads to achievement. If you don’t have hope and confidence you’re not going to be a success.’ In life you have to have that optimism. You have to look at that glass half filled, not half empty,” Vitale energetically told the camera.
First off, that’s not even what the correct quote. It’s close, but the real quote is, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
Secondly, I don’t even care he didn’t get it right. I’m still ready to run through a wall right now. I can’t remember the last time I was this amped. Leave it to Dicky V to come flying in on a Tuesday morning to fire up our motivational engines. I’m ready to rock and roll.
