The Chicago Bears may have one of the worst records in the NFL, but they might be number one for the sorriest franchise in the league.
After taking a 31-3 beating in Philadelphia this weekend, the Bears embarked on a long and nightmarish trip back to the Windy City on Sunday night.
Their flight way delayed due to airplane technical difficulties. The entire team had to wait in the airport for hours and didn’t get off the ground until about 11 p.m.
Kyle Long, Bears guard and brother to a more victorious defensive end Chris Long, chronicled the debacle on Twitter.
At least we get good WiFi on the ground, am I right? pic.twitter.com/LZPttviwA9

I snagged two @SNICKERS bars when I first got on the plane, the first one. They’re still in my pant pockets (just realized)… all melted… salvageable though https://t.co/iS0ijBBY77

Yikes.
And as if their Sunday wasn’t bad enough, the Bears were greeted by a “vile, eye watering potency” when they returned to work on Monday. Apparently the whole team had sushi before their Thanksgiving break and didn’t throw it out properly, leaving raw fish to rot for days in Halas Hall.
And to add insult to injury, two unnamed players got into a screaming match later that day for the entire press to hear.
Things are tense today at Halas Hall. A loud argument between players just erupted in the hallway adjacent to the media room. Hard to tell exactly who was involved. #Bears

Heard loud and clear from the media room. Five weeks to go for a frustrated Bears team. https://t.co/4Jhv8VIQu7

Let’s just hope the end of the regular season comes quickly so we can put the 3-8 Bears out of their misery already.
