ESPN basketball commentator Dan Dakich ripped Rick Pitino Tuesday night during a broadcast of a game between Purdue and Louisville.
“Pitino is denying so much he probably denies he was ever the head coach at Louisville,” Dakich said of the former Louisville coach, according to Kentucky Sports Radio.
He also went on an ice monolague about Pitino getting involved in stuff he has no business talking about. It’s classic Dakich speaking off of the cuff.

Pitino was fired after the Cardinals were accused of funneling a recruit $100,000 in return for his commitment. That was apparently enough to end Pitino‘s storied career as a college basketball coach. There was also $44 million left on his contract with the school, which you can bet he won’t let get taken away from him without a major fight.
You can also bet this isn’t the last we hear of people trashing the former coach. It’s a long basketball season, and Louisville plays a lot of games that it’ll get talked about.
