Marvel Studios dropped the first official trailer for “The Avengers: Infinity War” on Wednesday and it looks like it’s going to be a wild ride.
The Avengers movies are always action-packed thrillers, but you know before the movie starts that the good guys are going to win. That’s not necessarily the case with the newest installation.
Although the Avengers have some help from some new teammates including the Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and Star-Lord, they are going up against their toughest opponent yet in Thanos, played by Josh Brolin.
As the world falls to destruction at Thanos’ hands in the trailer the new villain has some chilling words for the Avengers.
“Fun isn’t something one really considers when restoring balance to the universe, but this does put a smile on my face,” he says. “I know what it’s like to lose. You feel so desperately that you’re right. Yet you fail all the same. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.”
“Avengers: Infinity War” goes to theaters on May 4, 2018.
