Somebody finally created a rule to deal with LaVar Ball and his mouth.

The Los Angeles Lakers are implementing a media policy to keep his jackassery as far away as possible from microphones following Laker home games. It’s being dubbed none other than the “LaVar Ball Rule.”

The “LaVar Ball Rule” bars reporters from entering the section of Staples Center that seats the family and close friends of Lakers’ players.

Apparently, this rule has already been in the books for quite some time. But, thanks to recent post-game comments by the father of Laker point guard Lonzo Ball, team officials seem to think the rule should be taken more seriously and actually be enforced.

Multiple times over the past month, LaVar Ball has publicly questioned the competency of the Lakers’ coaching staff.

In one instance, following a loss last month, LaVar gave reporters his opinion on Coach Luke Walton’s staff. “They’re soft. They don’t know how to coach my son. I know how to coach him. I tell him to go get the victory. Stop messing around.”

For any of us who have participated in any form of youth sports, or have had kids who have, you’ve assuredly at some point along the way had to deal with the My Kid Is More Important Than Yours Dad. Insert Lavar Ball.

The only thing less impressive than a $500 Big Baller Brand shoe are the basketball skills (or lack thereof) of Mr. LaVar Ball himself. For someone talks a big game, this video from 2002 shows just how talented LaVar is on the hardcourt. **SPOILER** Not very talented.

This is the same guy who says he could beat Michael Jordan one-on-one, with an arm tied behind his back.
