Red Bull recently posted a video of two BASE jumpers jumping from a mountaintop into a moving airplane.

It’s absolutely incredible. Red Bowl wrote the following for the description of the events:

French wingsuit flyers recently completed an unbelievable stunt following a B.A.S.E. jump from the top of the Jungfrau mountain in Switzerland. Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet, known as the Soul Flyers, caught up with and flew into a plane in mid-air.

As part of their project A Door in the Sky, which they had spent several months training for by completing more than 100 test flights in Empuriabrava in Spain, the duo B.A.S.E jumped from the top of the Jungfrau, one of Europe’s highest mountains, and flew into a Pilatus Porter light aircraft in mid-air. Now that’s a different way to catch a flight.

This is absolutely incredible. Imagine the balls and guts you’d have to have in order to jump from the top of a mountain and into a moving plane. It would seem to me that the room for error is razor thin at best. You have to time literally everything nearly perfectly. One misstep and everything could end horribly.

The best part is then the pair decides to jump back out of the plane after successfully getting in. I wouldn’t leave that aircraft once I was safe and secure. Of course, I also wouldn’t try to jump my into an airplane. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Either way, that’s one of the craziest stunts I’ve ever seen. Both of those men are way braver and riskier than I’d ever consider myself.
