The New Yorker released a holiday gift guide that mocks the “manly man” by providing ideas for presents in an article Monday.

Riane Konc created a satirical list ridiculing masculinity when shopping for holiday presents, according to a piece published by The New Yorker. Konc’s inspiration came from gifts that were apparently not “manly” to begin with and updated the names to make them supposedly more male-friendly.

“We took gender-neutral gifts and gifts traditionally designed for women, and engineered them to meet a manly man’s specific gifting needs,” wrote Konc.

Konc’s gifts ideas include ways to mock men’s supposed lack of empathy or emotion such as instead of a “A personalized wall calendar, to help remember birthdays, anniversaries, and important commitments,” to give men a “Twelve-month nag repellent.”

Another idea was “A cherished family photo” that Konc changed to say a “visual memory stabilizer.” Konc also noted “A keepsake box decorated with painted macaroni (for kids)” could be gifted to men as a “Portable storage locker reinforced with dried rations (from kids).”

Konc tweeted Tuesday she “created a holiday gift guide for the Fragile Men in your life!!”
