George Clooney is as cool as they come in Hollywood and apparently he hasn’t forgotten the people who were with him before he ever starred in his first movie.

Clooney’s best friend, Rande Gerber, recently revealed that the actor invited all 14 of his best friends to his house for dinner back in 2013 when he presented them with a gift that would change each of their lives, E! News reports.

“There’s a group of guys that we call ‘The Boys.’ George had called me and ‘The Boys’ and said, ‘Hey, mark September 27, 2013 on your calendar. Everyone’s going to come to my house for dinner,'” Gerber recalled during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s Headliners.

When each of “The Boys” arrived at Clooney’s house they found 14 black suitcases at each spot around the dinner table, Gerber explained.

“George begins to say, ‘Listen, I want you guys to know how much you’ve meant to me and how much you mean to me in my life. I came to L.A., I slept on your couch. I’m so fortunate in my life to have all of you and I couldn’t be where I am today without all of you,'” Gerber recalled. “‘So, it was really important to me that while we’re still all here together, that I give back. So I want you all to open your suitcases.'”

Each of the “Suburbicon” director’s 14 friends opened them up to find $1 million in $20 bills. Not only did Clooney gift them $1 million each, but he also paid all of their taxes so they didn’t have to worry about a thing anymore.

“Every one of us—14 of us—got a million dollars. Every single one of us. We’re in shock. Like, what is this?”

Gerber, who is married to Cindy Crawford and is a part-owner of Clooney’s Casamigos Tequila, didn’t need the money but some of Clooney’s other friends certainly did.

Clooney was always one of the best in my book, but this move puts him in a whole new category. When I was young and had dreams of becoming a big-time movie star I always told myself I would bring my best buddies to the top with me. That’s what makes “Entourage” such a cool show, but Clooney’s move takes it to another level.

Sure the guy has about $500 million more to spend himself, but giving away $1 mil to each of his boys and taking care of their bills is the definition of a baller move.
