Actress Salma Hayek spoke out about Harvey Weinstein in an op-ed published Wednesday, claiming he threatened to kill her.

Hayek claimed the movie mogul threatened to kill her for continuing to refuse his sexual advances in an op-ed she wrote for The New York Times. The actress claimed that these threats happened while filming the “Frida” biopic in 2002.

Weinstein’s alleged sexual harassment on Hayek included inviting her to: shower with him, give him oral sex, get naked with another woman. Hayek refused all of these advances, which in one time led to “Machiavellian rage,” adding that “an attack of fury, he said the terrifying words, ‘I will kill you, don’t think I can’t,’” wrote Hayek.

The disgraced producer allegedly gave Hayek an ultimatum while filming “Frida.” She was reportedly told to do a full-frontal nude sex scene with actress Ashley Judd on camera or production would be ended.

“My mind understood that I had to do it, but my body wouldn’t stop crying and convulsing,” said Hayek, claiming that at one point she even had to take tranquilizers so she would get through the degrading experience. The actress later got an Academy Award nomination for her performance.

More than 80 women have accused Weinstein of sexual assault, reported Newsweek.
