It’s Wednesday, December 13, 2017, and this is The Daily Caller Newsroom.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this edition of TheDCN was shot entirely on an iPhone camera. But don’t worry, it’s just as good as always.

WATCH:

Democrat Doug Jones bested Republican Roy Moore last night in the hotly contested Alabama senate race, making him the first Alabama Democrat to win a Senate since 1992.

This is a loss for Trump no doubt, but a far bigger loss for Breitbart chief Steve Bannon, who went all in on defending Roy Moore against a slew of sexual misconduct allegations. Without a win in Alabama, Bannon will have tremendous difficulty raising funds for future campaigns.

And without an additional seat in the Senate, Republicans will face challenges passing their legislative agenda.

White House Correspondent Alex Pfieffer breaks down why Moore was a “uniquely bad candidate,” and why Democrats are now hopeful for the 2018 midterms elections.
