Former Los Angeles Rams coach Jeff Fisher might have been fired last year, but he’s not letting people forget the role he played in the turn around.
Orange County Register reporter Rich Hammond tweeted out the following quote Friday night: “I am a huge fan of the Rams players. They’re basically — I don’t want to say my players — but I had a lot to do with that roster. Left them in pretty good shape, and Sean, as he has shown in a short period of time, is an outstanding young coach.”

I love this quote for two reasons. First, he’s not exactly wrong. This is pretty much the same roster as the one Fisher had, minus a few changes.
Second, the fact the same roster is dominating the NFL now is proof that Fisher had no idea what he was doing. He got fired for not winning enough games, and a season later the Rams are Super Bowl contenders. Not exactly a great endorsement of Fisher’s coaching abilities.
I hope Fisher gets another coaching job. It’d be so much more free entertainment, and that’s something we could all use more of.
