Another trailer was recently released for the upcoming superhero movie “Black Panther.”
The plot of the film, according to IMDB, is, “T’Challa, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.”
The movie stars Chadwick Boseman in the lead role. He’s joined by Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Andy Serkis, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker.
The new trailer focuses heavily on the relationship between Boseman and Jordan. The latter appears likely to become the film’s main villain.
We’ve had a ton of superhero movies lately, and I always worry about the quality getting watered down the more we get. For example, “Justice League” was an absolutely terrible movie. I found myself laughing at parts that most certainly weren’t meant to be funny.
That’s a byproduct of pumping out so many of these movies without exactly thinking about what’s going on first.
Hopefully this one bucks the latest trend of not being great. “Black Panther” is scheduled to be released February 16.
