San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich had a pretty good explanation for why wealthy people should help the less fortunate when asked Tuesday.
The legendary basketball coach was asked why giving back is important and he responded, “Because we’re rich as hell and we don’t need it all, and other people need it. Then, you’re an a** if you don’t give it. Pretty simple,” according to ESPN’s Michael C. Wright.

I’ve always liked Popovich a lot, and this quote is a just further proof of why he’s awesome. Of course people with lots of money should help the less fortunate. I can’t think of a single reason or excuse why they wouldn’t want to just do it out of the kindness of their own hearts.
You can’t take your money with you into the afterlife, so you might as well give some away while you’re here on this planet.
I couldn’t agree with Popovich anymore than I currently do. Well said, and hopefully plenty of people with deep pockets follow his advice.
