There are good Christmas vacations, and then there are great ones.

The Brown family was lucky enough to be on a boat just off the coast of Port Victoria in Australia this week, when Jodie Brown noticed their vessel had an unexpected visitor.

A massive Great White Shark.

“It just swam up to the boat from behind and it was just circling us for about 20 minutes, it would just go round and come back again,” Jodie told The Advertiser.

“We reckon it was about five meters (long) because the boat was about six meters and the shark wasn’t much smaller. The width and the fin-span of it was just… with the fins it would’ve been as wide as the boat. The girth of the shark just freaked us out as much as the length,” Jodie said.

Five meters is about 16 feet, for all the Americans out here.

This may be the second coolest marine life video I’ve ever seen in my life. The first is, of course, the one below. I now hold a special place in my heart for all the Ocean Sunfish out there.
