Elon Musk might be making headlines in the tech world for unveiling his Tesla Roadster this week, but his personal life is just as interesting.
That’s because he was seen out and about with his old flame Amber Heard for a meal near Los Angeles last week.
And while the pair has been spotted brunching post-split in the past, this seems to be a little more serious. When the time came to part ways, onlooking photographers captured the two sealing the deal with a kiss.

Neither has given a public comment on whether they’re back together, but Heard’s most recent Instagram post makes it pretty clear why Musk wanted her back.
In an unusually candid interview with Rolling Stone last month, Musk revealed that he was nursing a broken heart.
“I just broke up with my girlfriend. Well, she broke up with me more than I broke up with her, I think. I’ve been in severe emotional pain for the last few weeks.”
He then proceeded to ask his interviewer to set him up with somebody. “I’m looking for a long-term relationship. I’m not looking for a one-night stand. I’m looking for a serious companion or soulmate, that kind of thing,” he said.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit it. I dragged Elon for this pitiful display of desperation when the interview came out, but now I kinda see what he did there. The interview was a smoke signal.
You see, Elon Musk is an innovator. He’s not just gonna text Amber Heard some sappy paragraph about how he messed up and he still loves her. He did it in a spread for Rolling Stone like the true visionary he is. You might be able to put texts from your ex on “do not disturb,” but you can’t do that to a Rolling Stone spread.
