The first trailer for Nicholas Cage’s new movie “Mom and Dad” was recently released, and it’s absolutely terrible.
The plot of the movie, according to IMDB, is, “A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.”
I’ve seen a lot of bad movies in my time on this planet, and I’ve seen lots of really bad trailers. I’m not sure anything looks more ridiculous than this movie.
Maybe I’ll be proven wrong about this movie. Perhaps it won’t be a complete dumpster fire.
That being said, did anybody walk away from this trailer thinking anything else? I’m going to go ahead and guess we all kind of agree that this movie is going to be straight garbage. I just don’t see any other outcome. I know it’s brutal, but I think it’s fair.
“Mom and Dad” is scheduled to be released January 19.
