President Donald Trump dropped a rhetorical nuclear bomb on North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un on Twitter Tuesday night.

Kim Jong Un warned in his New Year’s address that he has a nuclear button on his desk and is ready to order a nuclear strike against the U.S. if threatened. Trump responded in turn Tuesday, reminding “Rocket Man” that he is challenging a far superior force.

Last year, North Korea tested five new ballistic missiles, including two intercontinental ballistic missiles that can theoretically range the continental U.S. The rogue state also tested successfully a staged thermonuclear weapon, a hydrogen bomb able to produce an explosive yield of potentially a few hundred kilotons. North Korea has announced the completion of the state nuclear force, with Kim ordering mass production and rapid deployment of the state’s new weapons, but more testing will likely be required for North Korea to field a reliable nuclear deterrent against the U.S. and its allies in Asia.

The U.S. military has said on multiple occasions that it is more than ready to deal with the North Korean threat should it be called to action to defend regional peace and stability.
