Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship game between #4 Alabama and #3 Georgia will decide who the kings of the sport are.

But, don’t tell that to a group of knights. Central Florida finished their season at 13-0, and have already declared themselves National Champions. #12 UCF’s Peach Bowl win over #7 Auburn ensured that they will be the only team to go undefeated this season (13-0). You better believe UCF Athletic Director Danny White is making sure everyone knows it.

It all started with a Twitter video posted right after the bowl win of AD White declaring his football program as “National Champs!”

Then, all social media sites related to UCF Football were updated with a “National Champions – Only 2017 Undefeated Champion” logo.

But, the celebration of a faux-championship doesn’t end there. In an interview with ESPN Radio, AD Danny White says they’re now planning a parade to honor the team’s success. They’ll also be hanging a championship banner at their stadium.

Unfortunately for UCF, with a playoff system in place, there’s no way the NCAA offers them a shared National Championship. The last time that happened was in 2003, when LSU won the BCS, but AP Poll voters put USC on top.

So, I’ve come to realize that UCF’ football championship and Disney World have a couple of things in common. Both are located in Orlando, and based on fantasy.
