The author of the new fiery book about the Trump White House, Michael Wolff, said Friday morning that President Donald Trump has less credibility than “anyone who has ever walked on earth.”

“My credibility is being questioned by a man who has less credibility than, perhaps, anyone who has ever walked on earth at this point,” Wolff said on NBC’s “Today Show” Friday morning.

Wolff released a book Friday, titled “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” that gives what is supposed to be an intimate account of the inner workings of the Trump administration. A number of journalists and media figures have called portions of the book into question, claiming Wolff has a history of fabricating details in order to beef up a story, a claim Wolff denies.

“I’ve written many books. I‘ve written millions upon millions of words. I don’t think there’s ever been one correction,” Wolff said.

“I work like every journalist works. I have recording, I have notes. I am certainly and absolutely, in every way, comfortable with everything I’ve reported in this book,” Wolff said.

Attorneys for President Trump sent Wolff a cease and deceased letter Thursday, arguing that the author broke confidentiality agreements and made a number of baseless claims about the president.
