Los Angeles artist Sabo has taken credit for the “They Knew” art campaign that highlights Hollywood’s hypocrisy and slams Tinsel Town’s elite for ignoring sexual assault and harassment.

In an interview with VICE, Sabo showed a camera crew his studio and said, “This is awards season. There’s no reason for me not to hit the Oscars and the Grammys and all those other fu*king award shows. It’s basically them just patting themselves on the back.”

“I would like to think that everyone that’s about to attend the Golden Globes is a little uncomfortable right now, because a lot of people in Hollywood did know what the hell was going on,” Sabo added. “If Meryl Streep who like embraced him [Harvey Weinstein] and even called him God, if she didn’t know what was going on then she is a dumb bitch.”

Sabo said he “snapped” around the year 2000 because he felt the media was persecuting Republicans and making him feel like a “dick.” He said he saw a vacuum for right-leaning counter-culture artists and felt the need to fill the void.

“I’m not even a conservative, I’m just not a leftist,” Sabo said in the interview. “I consider myself a right-leaning 1960’s liberal.”

Sabo tweeted photos of himself hanging signs and posters near Rodeo Drive, calling Hollywood “Pedophiles, Perverts, and Rapists” and poking fun at Sunday’s Golden Globes host Seth Meyers.

Sabo said Hollywood is starting to spiral out of control from scandal and confusion, and hopes his art will continue to push them over the edge.

“Hollywood is scared to death right now,” Sabo concluded. “They don’t know if they should be having a party or if they should be in morning, and when this happens I think they’re going to freak out. You’ve pretty much crapped in their front door.”
