President Donald Trump reiterated Saturday that he did not try to convince Attorney General Jeff Sessions to not recuse himself from the investigation currently undertaken by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Everything he did “was 100 percent proper,” Trump argued, according to a White House press pool report.

Speaking at Camp David, the traditional retreat for the president of the United States in Maryland, he also took the moment at a press conference to contend that there are no legitimate controversies surrounding his campaign and a purported relationship with Russia.

“There’s been no collusion, there’s been no crime,” Trump said, according to Politico. (RELATED: The Cascading Blunders Of The DNC, FBI, And White House Invited Hacking)

As for the North Korean situation, Trump said that he’s a big believer in talking with leader Kim Jong Un if that’s an option.
