Several actresses recently came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against James Franco, and while the “Disaster Artist” star denies them, he made it clear he doesn’t want to silence any accusers.

Franco was one of many actors and actresses wearing a “Time’s Up” pin to Sunday’s awards in support of the movement to end sexual misconduct and create equal opportunity for women. Just two days after his accusers came forward on social media Franco responded the claims on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

“First off I want to say I wore it because I do support [Time’s Up]. Look, I was so excited to win, but being in that room that night was incredible. I mean it was powerful,” Franco began. (RELATED: James Franco’s Golden Globes Win Prompts Sexual Harassment Accusers To Come Forward)

“In my life, I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I’ve done. I have to do that to maintain my well-being. I do it whenever I know there is something wrong or needs to be changed,” Franco said. “The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So I don’t want to shut them down in any way — I think it’s a good thing, and I support it.”

Many of the accusations that have come out against Hollywood stars over the past few months have been revealed on social media. When Colbert asked if there is a way they can get to the truth beyond a he said, she said back-and-forth, Franco said admitted he doesn’t have the answers but will do whatever it takes to make it right.

“The way I live my life I can’t live if there is restitution to be made. I will make it. So if I’ve done something wrong I will fix it, I have to.”

“I really don’t have the answers, and I think the point of this whole thing is that we listen,” Franco said. “There were incredible people talking that night. They had a lot to say and I’m here to listen and learn and change my perspective where it’s off and I’m completely willing and I want to.”
