A trailer for the upcoming movie “The Vanishing of Sidney Hall” was released Wednesday, and it looks wild.

The plot of the film, according to IMDB, is, “Sidney Hall finds accidental success and unexpected love at an early age, then disappears without a trace.”

Kyle Chandler stars as a man searching for Sidney Hall, who is played by rising star Logan Lerman.

The trailer takes the viewer on a rollercoaster ride through Hall’s young life and early success, and then ultimately looks like like his rapid downfall.

The concept behind this movie is fascinating to me. I’ve often argued fame at a very young age is not a good thing or healthy for anybody. We have plenty examples to look at for proof. One notable is Johnny Manziel. He got famous as a young man, and we all know what happened after that.

I’ve often wondered why our society is so eager to blow up young people the moment they get any kind of fame. It’s a really stupid thing to do, and it looks like this film is going to touch on this whole idea.

“The Vanishing of Sidney Hall” has no set release date yet.
