Former Vice President Joe Biden condemned President Donald Trump for using derogatory language to describe African nations, saying that America should expect better from their president and that “we are better than this.”
“It’s not how a president should speak. It’s not how a president should behave. Most of all, it’s not what a president should believe. We’re better than this.” Biden tweeted Friday.

The Washington Post reported Thursday evening that the president said, “why are we accepting all these people from shithole countries?” The president reportedly said this in a meeting with lawmakers in reference to immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries.
