Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly been locked in as the star of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Charles Manson film.

Variety reported the following:

After being courted for several months, Leonardo DiCaprio will star in Quentin Tarantino’s untitled Charles Manson movie, sources confirmed to Variety.

DiCaprio will play an aging, out-of-work actor in the film. Margot Robbie, meanwhile, is being eyed for the role of Sharon Tate.

The movie will hit theaters on Aug. 9, 2019, Variety has learned.

The last time these two forces combined together was in “Django Unchained,” and we all know how successful that movie was. I’ll be interested to see how Tarantino attacks such an infamous murderer and his cult following.

Hopefully, Margot Robbie gets snagged on as Sharon Tate. DiCaprio and Robbie together in a film could be incredibly special. Everything they both seem to touch turns to movie gold.

We’re well more than a year out from this movie hitting theaters, so stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
