Surveillance camera footage appears to show the Turpin children getting rescued from their “house of horrors” in Perris, Calif., and walking into a van parked outside.

A video of the dramatic rescue on Jan. 14, released Monday, captures the children — aged two through 29 years old — being led single-file  toward a van, reported Fox News. One of the girls carried a toddler.

Turpin family dad and mom David and Louise Turpin allegedly abused and tortured the kids.

The rescue footage follows news of the Turpin’s 17-year-old daughter escaping from their house through a window to notify police. The girl called from a deactivated cell phone to call 911. She claimed to have planned her escape for over two years.

Authorities found a 22-year-old chained to furniture at the home. The Turpin mother appeared perplexed the children were being questioned by authorities, reported CBS News.

The children are currently hospitalized for severe malnourishment and also have cognitive issues, said Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin to reporters Thursday. The parents appeared at their initial court arraignment later that day.

Officials charged the parents with 12 counts of torture, 12 counts of false imprisonment, seven counts of abuse of a dependent adult and six counts of child abuse or neglect. David is also charged with lewd acts against a child under 14 years.

Both pleaded they were not guilty and are being held on a $12 million bail. The Turpin parents will face their next hearing Feb. 23.
