Jon Bernthal, who is the lead actor in Netflix’s “The Punisher,” made an appearance at SHOT Show Tuesday.

Bernthal was captured in pictures by other people, and even threw up one of his own with several members of the gun community. For those that don’t know, SHOT Show is a massive expo for the gun community held in Las Vegas every year.

@tarantactical Yall. Fuckin. Rock.

This is actually super cool. Hollywood is full of anti-gun advocates who would disarm the population in a heartbeat if the opportunity ever presented itself.

Bernthal is the lead actor in a series where guns are super prevalent and weapons are almost characters in and of themselves. It’s a violent show without a doubt, but it’s also incredibly entertaining. It’s possible to be both at the same time, and it’s possible to work in Hollywood without having to be anti-gun.

There are countless actors who appear in violent movies, and then turn around to preach gun control. It happens on a regular basis. Jessica Chastain made an entire movie, “Ms. Sloane” about gun control, and she also starred in “Lawless,” which is extremely violent.

I’m happy to see that a guy like Bernthal is embracing the gun community instead of treating us like garbage. A refreshing change of pace for Hollywood.
