Miller Lite is now the third best selling beer in America, and it has knocked Budweiser out of the top three.

CNN reported the following:

Before 2001, Budweiser was the top-selling U.S. beer, but it relinquished that crown to Bud Light. Coors Light knocked Budweiser out of the second spot in 2011.

Now Miller Lite has taken over third place, relegating Bud to No. 4 (emphasis added), according to sales estimates from the trade publication Beer Marketer’s Insights, which has kept track since the mid-1970s.

Well, I certainly didn’t expect to find this news in my e-mail inbox when I woke up this morning, but here we are. We don’t always get to pick how the punches get thrown. We just get to choose how we react. Now, let me get a couple things out of the way. I’m not an expert on the markets. I have no clue about any of that stuff. I honestly thought Blockbusters was going to be around forever, and now I pay every month for Netflix. So, take my business and economic advice worth a grain of salt.

Here’s what we do know for sure. I started regularly drinking Miller Lite on camera during 2017. It was the talk of the town. Every Friday the loyal fans, viewers and readers knew that they’d get to see me in a Badgers jacket, my crystal blue eyes, my luscious hair and drinking an ice cold Miller Lite. This is just a fact.

Now we find out that Miller Lite has overtaken Budweiser. Is there a connection? Did I, The Smoke Room’s Editor-in-Chief, start a movement with these blue eyes, great hair, Badgers apparel and Friday drinking routine? I’m far too humble to ever make such a large assumption. All I know for sure is the facts, and it’s fact Budweiser was ahead of Miller Lite before I started drinking it for the Facebook audience. Now Miller Lite is ahead.

Let’s just let the facts speak for themselves.
