A new article is debating whether or not Reddit has ruined the hit HBO show “Westworld.”

WARNING: THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS BELOW.

The New Republic wrote the following:

But over the first season of Westworld, it became clear there was very little that its dedicated subreddit was going to get wrong. Fans predicted that William would grow up to become a balding Ed Harris and that Maeve’s grand escape was part of a programmed narrative. Reddit predicted that Bernard = Arnold (Bernarnold) and that Dolores = Wyatt. Even the complex multiple timelines were all mapped out in advance. (There is already a theory for season two that looks pretty solid.)

Let me go ahead and answer this question for all of you out there. No, Reddit did not ruin “Westworld.”

The HBO show is incredible, and literally nothing could ruin it. Reddit only enhances the experience. It’s like a day at the gun range. It’s already a lot of fun with some AR-15s, AK-47s and other weapons. It does get a hell of a lot more fun when somebody shows up with a few machine guns. It can only ever enhance the experience.

Besides, Reddit didn’t let me know William would grow up to be the Man in Black/Ed Harris. I predicted that during the second episode, and there are multiple people at the office who can confirm that. The Monday morning showed up, I walked into a woman’s office and said William was going to be the Man in Black. I also predicted exactly how the scene would go down, but now I’m just bragging.

The point still remains that Reddit doesn’t ruin the show at all. Just makes it a bit more fun to experience all the different theories. “Westworld” will return to our televisions sometime in spring 2018.
