Baltimore Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker blew the crowd and the judges way last night for CBS’ Most Valuable Performer, winning first place for his performance of “Ave Maria.”

Arguably the best kicker in the league, despite being snubbed for the Pro Bowl this season, Tucker’s performance wowed the judges. He earned himself first place, and a cash prize of $50,00, which will be donated to the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Tucker has shown off this hidden talent before. NFL Films even did a short piece on him in the summer of 2016, showing him singing in a studio.

The kicker is not only talented, but moving, as judge Brandon Marshall expressed following his performance. Tucker, known for having enthusiastic celebrations after making clutch kicks, brought a calmer depth to his performance Thursday night, which helped him steal the show.

Tucker beat out finalists Jonathan Stewart and Kevin Zeitler. Stewart played piano, while Zetiler, an offensive lineman for the Browns, performed tricks with his dog. The Ravens’ kicker also beat out teammates Brandon Williams, who sang, and Alex Collins, who showed off his Irish dancing skills.

Tucker’s successful performance on the field is rivaled by his singing, and any future appearances on stage are welcomed and sure to be well received.
