Kirsten Dunst confirmed her pregnancy with fiancé Jesse Plemons, and it’s making me think it’s one of the stranger relationships in Hollywood.

Dunst has been around for what feels like ages. Plemons, not so much. Most of us got our first introduction to Plemons as Landry Clarke in “Friday Night Lights.”

He was a goofball character, the fans loved him, he was one of the stars of the show and everybody cheered for him. Since then, he went on to have several major roles, including “Breaking Bad,” and “Black Mass.”

However, his relationship with Dunst makes no sense to me. Now, please don’t misunderstand or twist what I’m saying. I’m sure that Clarke is a hell of a good dude, and will be an outstanding father.

My issue is that whenever I see him, I see Landry from “Friday Night Lights.” There’s zero chance Landry is getting with anybody on the level of Kirsten Dunst. Absolutely zero. We cheered him on in the show with the cute blonde, but we’re talking about a different game here. Dunst is a Hollywood legend.

I guess my struggle with this is actually that Clarke did such a great job as Landry that it’s the only way I see him. I mean, props to him for being engaged to Dunst. That’s awesome, and I’m sure most guys would love to be in his place. I’m just struggling to see the kid who kicked the game winning field goal for West Dillon High fulfilling the role of husband to smoke show Kirsten Dunst.
