Gossip author Michael Wolff recently slandered U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley by alleging that she is having an affair with President Donald Trump.
Haley was forced to deny the rumor in an interview, calling the unfounded allegations “offensive” and “disgusting.”
Wolff doubled down on the allegations in an interview with theSkimm this week, saying Haley “seems to have embraced it” referring to the rumor. When the interviewer pushed back, Wolff said:
“Well, I don’t know. All she does is hammer on this fact. I mean, if I were being accused of something, and I am not accusing her of anything. She hasn’t tried to avoid this.”
Wolff was pressed again on the accuracy of the allegation and said, “Literally, the book is the book.”
Wolff is the author of the controversial tell-all “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” which has been called out for a number of inconsistencies and falsehoods.
