There’s not really anything bad to say about this chef’s knife. Ninety-percent of customer reviewers gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars, leading to its rarely seen 4.9-star aggregate rating. It is made out of Japanese high carbon stainless steel and promises to be ultra sharp, anti-corrosion, anti-bacteria, wear-resistant and non-stick. How sharp is ultra sharp? Supposedly, “razor-sharp” with a “laser-tested tapered edge ground to form an exacting angle to ensure maximum cutting performance and long-lasting durability.” Furthermore, the handle uses an “integrated forging design” to “ensure a secure, comfortable grip with no fatigue.”

If there is one thing I’ve learned over the years, it is that you want your chef’s knives to be made in Asia. While goods made in Asia get a bad rap, and deservedly so, our friends in the Far East have spent centuries mastering the ergonomic principles of kitchen cutlery. Add this one to the list.
