Sunday’s NFL Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles may be the coldest on record, USA Today reports.

Temperatures are expected to dip into the single digits by kickoff at 5:30 p.m. EST with a slight wind blowing around 10 miles per hour. Temperatures could drop below zero degrees Fahrenheit for the first time in Super Bowl history, however, and added wind chill may make temps feel as cold as minus 19 degrees, according to the Pioneer Press

The Minnesota Vikings stadium, where Super Bowl LII will be played, is an indoor facility and will keep the wind and the worst of the chill outside. Officials are warning fans that heightened security measures may lead to longer waits in security lines, however.

“This is very important for us to make sure that people who are coming here and visiting for the Super Bowl to please dress appropriately,” NFL security chief Cathy Lanier said, according to USA Today. “Even if you are only out for a few minutes, it can get quite cold here. You need to dress in layers, hats, gloves, scarves covering your extremities (and) comfortable shoes or boots.”

The coldest Super Bowl on record was also played in Minnesota in 1982 with a high of 16 degrees and a low of 5. That game was also held indoors, Pioneer Press reports.
